Interested in sponsoring a raised bed?
Our goal is to raise $3,000 for the 2025 raised bed agriculture education program. Whether you are able to donate $5 to buy seeds, $180 to fully sponsor, your contribution will make a tremendous impact on the lives of Vista Academy youth participants.
There are many ways to give!
$5 covers the cost of seeds
$20 buys one of three hand tools needed for each participant
$30 buys a shovel
$50 buys compost for two boxes
$75 covers the Vista team member labor for one day in the garden.
$180 funds a raised bed garden for a Vista participant
$3,000 funds the entire program for a full year!
Introducing Vista participants to agricultural education
The Vista Academy provides an alternative to juvenile detention for court-ordered youth. Evening activities are designed to keep youth busy during specific hours that if not structured, might lead additional criminal activity.
Our goal is to expand the opportunities for youth in the Vista Academy by introducing workforce education and pro-social skills related to job training. This year we will provide a raised bed for each vista participant to plan, plant, maintain, and harvest over a 6-month growing season.
